Welcome to vom Animas
To meet the versatile terrain of the four corners area we offer the Deutsch Drahtaar as our dog of choice. We have used our dogs to hunt ducks, geese, quail, grouse, and pheasants around the four corners area. We have also trained and tested our dogs to track wounded game. Some would use multiple dogs to accomplish this, we rely on one, our drahts.
Our goal is to build the breed club in the New Mexico area, our breeding plan is focused on hunting dogs as the primary goal. I would like to thank David Krukar at vom Ziawald for his help and support through out the last couple of years.
Our kennel is named after the Animas river, I'll be adding pictures very soon. It starts up in the Colorado mountains and ends in the San Juan river in Farmington, NM.
